Model assumptions, stated so you can argue with them: bore drives the reading only when the pressure changes during the measurement, so a static reading is decided by routing rather than by flow; a static run longer than 3 m is put on DN4 because fill time starts to be felt on a hose that long; internal volume is the bore area multiplied by the length, and fill time is that volume divided by the fill rate your instrument draws.
