Bore Step Calculator

Compare DN2, DN3 and DN4 on the three things bore actually decides: flow area, the volume the line has to fill before the gauge reads, and how hard the bore resists flow.

Model: flow area is the circle area of the nominal inside diameter; the resistance comparison uses the fourth-power relation for laminar flow of an incompressible fluid, with length, viscosity and pressure difference otherwise unchanged. A diagnostic hose is a dead-ended sensing line, so treat the resistance column as a comparison between bores and the fill-volume column as what governs settling time. Working and burst pressure are properties of the construction, not of the bore, and are confirmed on your drawing.
